I-Beam monorail conveyors are the work-horse of overhead conveying systems. These robust systems remain the choice of many Industrial clients that require the ability to move heavier loads, often in harsh environments.
Three of the most common systems types stem from the same design but vary in physical size. Incremental differences in size reflect greater static load and chain pull capability.

X348 systems are designed around a 3-inch I-beam track. The track top to the centreline of the conveyor chain measures 5-1/2 inches. Trolleys are attached at 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 or 36 inch centres. Each trolley pair can carry a load up to 200 pounds (91 kg) and maximum chain pull capacity is 2000 pounds (909 kg).
A single drive system can move loads of 50,000 pounds (22,700 kg). Capacity can be increased when using multiple drives
X458 systems are designed around a 4 inch I-beam track. The distance from the top of the track to the centreline of the chain using short drop trolleys measures 7-3/16 inches. Long drop systems measure 8 inches. Trolleys are spaced in 8 inch multiples and each pair can carry up to 400 pounds (182 kg).
A single drive system will move combined loads of up to 70,000 pounds (31,000 kg). As with the Cirrus X348 system, load capacity can be increased when using multiple drives.
X678 systems are designed around a 6-inch I-beam track. From the top of the track to the centreline of the chain measures 10 inches. Trolleys are attached to the chain on 12 inch multiples and each trolley pair can carry up to 1,200 pounds (545 kg). The maximum chain pull is 6,000 pounds (2,700 kg).
A single drive system can move combined loads of 150,000 pounds (68,200 kg). Multiple drives will increase the total capacity.
